I started skiing when I was working at Crystal Mountain as a ski lift operator. I loved it, and started to ski at least three days a week, improving my knowledge and ability every chance I was able. After six seasons of skiing 50-70 days a year, I became an instructor at Crystal. I quickly learned that teaching the sport is as enjoyable as the sport itself.

My "real job" is that of bakery/shipping manager at The Cherry Hut Restaurant in Beulah. I live in Bear Lake, where I graduated high school, after attending K-12th grade. I have attended college at Aquinas College, in Grand Rapids, and NMC in Traverse City, with a focus, or lack there of, in political science, psychology, and business. I plan to complete at least one of the degrees I have started in the future.
