My family and I live in Maple City. We moved back here permanently in June 2012. I have my own cycling coaching business called Fisher Training Systems, LLC. I write training programs for amateur and professional cyclists looking to improve through detailed and refined training regimens. I also work for the Crystal Mountain Snow Sports program and Race Department.
Prior to living in Michigan, we lived at a boarding school in the Berkshire Mountains of Connecticut (Salisbury School). I taught English and coached soccer, skiing, and cycling for seven years.
Before moving to Connecticut, I lived in Colorado for eleven years. During that time, I was a professional cyclist then the assistant coach for CU's USCSA alpine program.
I attended Bates College in Lewiston, ME where I was captain of the NCAA Division I ski team for two years. I received a BA in Philosophy (Legal Studies). While living in Colorado I also attained an Associates Degree in Architectural Design.
My wife, Haylee, is originally from Onekama, and we decided to move back to Michigan so we could raise our two boys amongst their extended family members. So far it has been fantastic!
Ever since I can remember, I have loved the outdoors and competitive sports. Alpine ski racing was my first passion, and I started racing at Hickory Hills when I was eight years old. Now, I cannot imagine a greater way to spend time than to spark and develop that same passion in the next generation.
